Zhang visits National Institute on Drug Abuse Intramural Research Program

On February 4, 2025, Yan Zhang, Ph.D., the director of VCU Center for Drug Discovery, was invited by Dr. Amy Newman, the scientific director of the National Institute on Drug Abuse Intramural Research Program (NIDA IRP), to visit their headquarters in Baltimore. During his visit, he gave a talk on his research program titled “Mu Opioid Receptor Modulators Development to Treat Opioid Use Disorders." He also met with several NIDA IRP researchers to discuss future collaborations on opioid use disorder treatment development.
