Dr. Binghe Wang from Georgia State University visited the VCU Center for Drug Discovery. Dr. Wang is Regents’ Professor of Chemistry, Frank Hannah Chair in Medicinal Chemistry, and Georgia Research Alliance Eminent Scholar in Drug Discovery, and founding director of the Center for Diagnostics and Therapeutics at Georgia State University. He also gave a seminar at the VCU Department of Chemistry. His seminar title was “Defying Conventional Wisdom: Developing Carbon Monoxide as a Therapeutic Agent."

This is also the launching of the C2D co-sponsored seminar program across both campuses of VCU. Beginning in spring 2025, the VCU Center for Drug Discovery will co-sponsor seminars at different academic departments at VCU to establish wider cross-discipline research collaborations and incubate more grant activities in drug discovery and development.
